Sculpture # 34: “Four Season Cylinder” 12/2020
This piece was commissioned by Glenda Koivukoski for her husband Paul. Paul is an
extraordinary person with interests in music, dance, competitive shooting,
work and his drums!! I decided to have this piece represent the four major
areas of Paul’s life, with different patterning and color arrangement. The
cylinder was my first and it evolves from a square block. With the
sphere carving technique the shape evolves. A “lazy Susie” platform was
sized to the base so the sculpture can be rotated.
