Weight: 3 lbs, 7.7 oz, H 3 1/2” L/W 5” and diagonal on the bottom is 8 1/2” Oamaru Stone (New Zealand limestone), steel dowels and acrylic paint.
This is a gift for Phil Gorrindo who is my web page guru, friend, patient (in his early days!), colleague, and creator. This somewhat abstract piece represents the “Croix du Basque” (Lauburu) as Phil’s family originates from the Spanish Basque region. This is representative of this cultural cross, done in this modern rendition to honor this great culture and people of whom I so highly respect. Thanks Phil.
